For nearly 60 years, Pres-Seal has provided a dependable, easy-to-use solution for sealing boiler doors.
Pres-Seal’s story begins in 1964 when founder Robert J. Weber, a seasoned marine engineer, noticed something different while repairing a ship’s boiler. The crew was using a unique gray putty to seal the boiler doors, sparking Bob’s curiosity. With a knack for innovation, Bob tracked down the manufacturer and partnered with them to bring Pres-Seal to life.
Working closely with the material’s original maker, Bob Weber refined the putty into the tubular Pres-Seal product used today – complete with its quick-release paper for easy application.
Over the years, Bob collaborated with the manufacturer to fine-tune Pres-Seal’s formula, ensuring it always met the demands of the job. While the company steadily grew, Pres-Seal remained a family endeavor. In the 1990s, Bob passed the torch to his daughter, Susan Weber, who led the company for over two decades.
Today, Pres-Seal is managed by Bob’s granddaughter, Jessica Weber, and her husband, Kurt.
